Two decades ago, Whitesnake singer David Coverdale joined up with Led Zeppelinguitarist Jimmy Page to create the 1993 Coverdale-Page album. Back then, Zep singerRobert Plant expressed disdain for Coverdale, referring to him as “David Cover-version.” In response, David had said of Robert, “I wouldn’t send him cat food if he was starving.”
Well now, David has apologized for the “ugly things” he said. The rocker told Classic Rock Magazine that he told Jimmy the next time Page speaks to Robert, “offer him my sincere regrets for any negative things I’ve ever said, which were mostly defensive.” Read more at ClassicRockMagazine.com.
